DiCaprio’s ‘Robin Hood: Origins’ filmed in Croatia

A new remake of Robin Hood produced by Leonardo DiCaprio under the title ‘Robin Hood: Origins’ is being shot in the Croatian City of Dubrovnik.

Having been the host location for ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Game of Thrones’, Croatia's Adriatic resort of Dubrovnik is currently hosting Leonardo DiCaprio’s adaptation of Robin Hood.  

With a budget between 70 and 100 million USD, according to media resources, ‘Robin Hood: Origins’ is expected to be the most expensive movie ever filmed in Croatia.

The anticipated remake of Robin Hood features British actor Taron Egerton as Robin, Oscar-winning Jamie Foxx portraying Little John and Eve Hewson as Maid Marion.

Directed by Otto Bathurst, ‘Robin Hood: Origins’ is set to be released in the United States in 2017.
